This project is the first CDM project registered in 2011 in China, and it is also the first biomass power generation project successfully registered by the group company. Since the start of the project, Huadian New Energy has organized the project company to sign an emission reduction purchase agreement with Germany's Baden-Württemberg Energy Company, and has actively promoted the development of CDM projects together with the technical consultants. After nearly one year of unremitting efforts by all parties, the project was successfully registered. The successful registration of this project has added new types of CDM projects for Huadian Group and accumulated valuable experience for the development of similar projects in the future.
Huadian Suzhou straw power generation biomass energy CDM project registered successfully
Earlier this month, Huadian Anhui Suzhou 2×12.5MW straw power generation biomass energy CDM project was successfully approved by the United Nations EB. The annual emission reduction was about 120,000 tons. So far, Huadian Group has successfully registered 24 emission reduction projects (including VER).
